The future of museums is narrative!
In the digital age, how can museums not only display their treasures in an online collection in a catalog-like manner, but also bring them to life?
In “museumspraxis,” the digital platform of MUSEUMSBUND:ÖSTERREICH (the network for Austrian museums), actori shows how pure collection data can be turned into interactive, inclusive, and socially relevant experiences.

This article provides valuable insights and best practices in the field of data visualization for online collections in museums.
It also shows how museums can increasingly become a qualified and qualifying voice in public discourse through the intelligent use of AI.
